The scenes in Gaza over the past 8 months have been heart breaking. My opinion is that a genocide is taking place and its hard to argue that the people of Gaza aren't being collectively punished for the awful acts committed by Hamas on 7th October. Sadly, its showing little sign of coming to an end. 

I have shared a lot of content on my social media, but have stopped short of posting the most distressing things I see, but the people of Gaza, not least the children and innocent families are facing daily atrocities and hardships that we in the western world can't begin to contemplate.

My birthday felt like a good excuse to raise some money for the Gaza, Save an Orphan Appeal, which provides a range of support and aid to the region, with a focus on children and the huge number of orphans created in recent months. 

I've set this up for immediate family who would normally get me a birthday present, but putting it out there more widely in case there are people who have thought about donating, but not got round it.
