New orphanage tubewell in Satkhira
A brand new tubewell was installed at the 'Nashrul Ulum Orphanage' at
Nokipur, Shyamnagar, Satkhira district. They didn't have any clean
drinking facilities and they used to gather drinking water from 3km
away. Now they have access to safe drinking water..

Qurbani was carried out in another orphanage again in Satkhira called
'Mother Khadija Orphanage' at Gainbari, Shyamnagar, Satkhira.
That
Etimkhana or orphanage is situated in an Island near Sundarban Forest.
The Sundarban forest which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site lies in the
vast delta on the Bay of Bengal Satkhira was badly affected by Cyclone
Alia and Sidr in which thousands lost their lives.
The meat from the Qurbani was also distributed to single mothers in the local village.
Many of them have lost loved ones in the cyclones and extreme weather conditions that have devasted these regions.
